The High Atlas Mountain range runs down the backbone of Morocco, from the north east to the south west. Most of the land lying to the south east of the Atlas range is arid, sparsely populated and mountainous, although less dramatically so than the High Atlas. The highest peaks of these smaller ranges, the Anti Atlas and Jebel Sahro, rise only to around 2500m. Further to the south east, beyond the last mountain ridge of the Jebel Sahro, start the sand dunes of the Sahara desert.
These images were taken during two trips to the area, in 2007 and 2010.
